What we do

See below for our service locations.

E

In home Behavior Therapy

NHABA provides services to children/clients in their home setting.  In the home, we work on reducing problem behavior and increasing life skills, including communication and adaptive skills.

E

Behavior Plans/Consultations

NHABA offers behavior plan development.  This entails a BCBA conducting an assessment and drafting a plan.  NHABA can also review current behavior plans and after an assessment, provide feedback.

E

IEP Consultation/Advocacy

NHABA can accompany parents to their child’s IEP meetings.  NHABA can provide feedback on IEPs and FBA/BIPs drafted by the schools. NHABA can collaborate with school personnel, as allowed by the school districts.

E

Toilet Training

NHABA will train parents in how to implement toilet training procedures.  It should be noted that NHABA staff will not toilet train for parents, rather, they teach parents strategies for success.

E

Parent Training

NHABA will teach parents how to approach problem behavior to minimize it based on the function of the behavior.  They teach parents how to generalize and maintain a child’s skills, as well as how to introduce new skills and teach them to their child.

E

Natural Environment Teaching

NHABA aims to teach children in their natural environment: their home, school and community.  NHABA staff can accompany the client and their caregivers into the community to work on social and life skills.

E

Social Skills and Structured Play Groups

NHABA provides structured social skills opportunities, in the Winchester office.  Clients have opportunities to interact with other clients in a supervised setting with NHABA therapists and BCBAs leading activities. Ages range from 2-14.
