Services are provided to families and their children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Intellectual, or other Developmental Disabilities. All services are provided in the home and/or community. Programs/Treatment Plans are developed and are clinically supervised by Licensed Behavior Analysts or Licensed Clinical Social Workers for some Medicaid cases. The number of hours per week is determined by the Clinical Supervisors. Most authorizations are for six months intervals and are renewable based on the progress made and the level of the parental involvement. In all cases however, the funding insurance company is the driving force in the requirement for parent participation. In all household whether it be run by two parents or a single parent, the parent(s) should be available at a minimum of once per week/supervision period to review progress, to participate in the therapy sessions, to be shadowed by the therapist or supervisor so as to ensure the most effective parental strategies are being consistently applied. Active participation can also include the completion of homework assigned by the Clinical Supervisor.
